He has continued post-graduate studies internationally. Martin holds basic and advanced certificates of teacher training in classical five element acupuncture. Martin loves this oriental system of medicine because of how it connects us with the sheer beauty of nature and people.
He regularly practices Tae Kwon Do of which he is a 1st dan black belt.
Martin has been in full time acupuncture since 1988 when he had the courage to leave the NHS to commit whole heartedly to this system of medicine. He moved back to his ancestral home of Great Malvern to establish the Clinic of Classical Acupuncture in 1989. He and his wife opened the Beacon Clinic in 2003 as a natural expansion of his practice and a deep wish to integrate this experience with the work of other professionals.
Martin married Sue in 1987 and they have three daughters Katie, Bethaney and Sophia.
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity'
